Exploring The Gods And Goddesses Within:

Presentations and Workshops on Archetypal Astrology

Free Presentations:

If you live in the Columbia area, and you meet with a group interested in self-development, let me show you how the birth chart can be used as a powerful tool for exploring our parental inheritance, the expectations that we bring to relationships, our spiritual/psychological path, and much more.

I have given presentations to study groups, therapy groups, and men's and women's groups in the past with great success.  I usually gather individual birth information from the group ahead of time and use the charts of the group members as examples (with permission) in my discussion of some of the fundamentals of psychological astrology. With poster-sized birth charts of all the members hanging around us in the room, we can't help but soak up a little of the stars.

Workshops:

This workshop was originally designed to introduce astrology to therapists with an archetypal or transpersonal orientation, but I’ve streamlined it to make it available to anyone interested in psychological astrology.

I'm sure there are many people out there who recognize the remarkable potential of the birth chart as a tool for exploring the soul but find themselves overwhelmed and frustrated by the mass of fragmented information available.  The astrological learning curve can certainly be daunting.  Like most people, I learned astrology one layer at a time: signs, planets, houses, aspects...  Over the years, the information simplified and consolidated into some very simple concepts that I use on a day to day basis.  As Lao tzu said, "In the pursuit of knowledge, every day something is gained.  In the pursuit of the Tao, every day something is dropped."  The longer I look at charts, the less astrology I know and use.  People think I’m joking when I tell them that I’m actually a lousy astrologer.   I can’t reel off endless information about a particular sun sign like most people expect me to.  I don’t know anything about minor aspects, asteroids, synastry...  I could never pass a test to become a professional astrologer.  But, despite my profound shortcomings, I’m told that I’m pretty good at getting to the heart of a chart.  In this workshop I will show you, simply and systematically, how to do just that.  I'll show you how I do what I do.

The workshop fee is $150.   The fee covers the workshop, a workbook of materials, and copies of your chart.  This workshop can be done in six weekly sessions locally or in a weekend format out of town.  The minimum number of participants for out of town workshops depends upon the location.

Please note:  I don't have a regular schedule for any out of town workshops.  And I get frequent inquiries from individuals who want me to let them know if and when a workshop will be held in their area.  I just don't have the time to explore advertising possibilities in many cities that I'm not familiar with in order to find more people for a workshop.  So in order to keep this simple, the only solution is for me to say that if you have a group interested in the workshop, contact me.  And I'll do what I can to make it happen.  A suggestion:  if you would really like me to come to your area, take the initiative to find enough participants to make it work (minimum six to ten maybe?), offer to let us meet in your living room, etc., and the workshop could be free for you.  If you have any creative suggestions that are workable, just ask.

I'll add a link to a flyer that I've used in the past that you are welcome to download and copy to post in your area or give to friends if it's helpful.  Microsoft publisher format:  Flyer
